The Escales canyon is atypical and, due to its technical aspect, very little frequented, which makes its descent a privileged and unique experience. The gorge winds in the shade of a magnificent forest of birch and box trees which gives a surreal atmosphere in good weather when the rays of the sun pierce the foliage. The obstacles are never very high (15m max) but always very aquatic, the slides are numerous, including the extraordinary Super Slide of 22m. You will receive detailed instruction on movement techniques but also teamwork, you will be the actors of your own adventure. A sporty canyon descent for all those who love water and sensations.

This large-scale, very vertical route offers sumptuous views of the Artigue canyon located below and the Pique Rouge de Bassiès (2676m) which dominates it, all in a pure high mountain atmosphere. We suggest you descend the lower part of this long canyon. This part is the most interesting with slides, a large number of abseils and a large 50m waterfall. This descent is done in a day in 8 hours! Thanks to precise teaching, the lower Estat canyon is ideal for improving canyoning and for learning rope and team progression techniques. Completely re-equipped by us, it is one of our favorite canyons to train our professional trainees on the integral part and to perfect their rope techniques during our Universal Canyoning Academy training courses.

Marc Canyon

Carved from schist and wrapped in a lush vegetation, this canyon offer a fun and dynamic course in Ariege. His spectacular steepness, combined with a regulated water flow, guarantees a pleasant descent even with a cloudy weather..

The route alternates easy but technical obstacles, possible to descent on a 25 meters zipline, followed by optional jumps (5 to 8 m) for thrill seekers. Ideal for learning all the canyoning progression techniques, it promises an fun and immersive adventure.

Subra Canyon

Subra Canyon

The Subra Canyon offers a beautiful series of 25 waterfalls. Mineral and open in its upper part, the gorge is carved into a beautiful red schist rock. This canyon ends with 2 magnificent, very steep and aerial sections (last 8 waterfalls). The most beautiful and highest obstacles are found at the end of the course, including a 25m guided rappel followed by a superb 20m waterfall that descends into a cave behind the curtain of water. It is very little frequented, you will have a peaceful place to learn canyoning in a team and perfect your autonomy on a rope.

A sporty canyon descent for all those who love thrills, learning technique and autonomy in canyoning.

Vicdessos Underground Canyon

A real underground adventure… but gently!

You want to discover caving differently ? The instructors will be happy to take you on an Ariège water cave that we all love: a wild place, sculpted by water and time, where you learn to progress underground... while having fun!

What we do, concretely:

Three short abseiling descents to get you into the swing of things, then we get into the famous Serpentin passage...and there, the magic happens: large rooms, underground river, water slides, play of light... we move forward together, but it's you who gradually takes the lead of the group, guided by our advice.

You will learn the basic techniques of caving! All this, in a relaxed, reassuring atmosphere, and really caring. No pressure, no judgment, no performance: just real, living, sharing.

Formation Canyoneur Autonome – Devenez autonome en canyon

Au sein d’un petit groupe de 6 stagiaires maximum, nous vous formons à l’autonomie en canyoning, que vous soyez en phase d’initiation ou de perfectionnement.
Pendant une semaine théorie et pratique se complètent. Vous vous exercerez dans les plus beaux canyons de l’Ariège pour développer des compétences concrètes et durables.

À qui s’adresse cette formation ?

Cette formation s’adresse à toute personne souhaitant :

> devenir canyoneur autonome,

> apprendre à évoluer en groupe de pratiquants initiés,

> progresser dans des canyons à engagement limité,

> maîtriser la préparation, la progression, l’équipement des obstacles et l’auto-secours.

Programme :

Module 1 (3 jours) : Technique 510 €

Obtenir toutes les compétences nécessaires pour choisir et utiliser le meilleur matériel de canyoning en toute situation.

Maîtriser toutes les techniques de progression sur corde et d’auto-secours. Maîtriser les techniques efficaces d’équipement de corde dans un canyon.

Optimiser vos compétences en stratégie et anticipation afin de devenir un leader compétent dans les canyons techniques (V4+).

Module 2 (2 jours) : Eaux-vives 340 €

Maîtriser les connaissances générales en eaux-vives afin d’acquérir toutes les compétences techniques complémentaires et les techniques avancées de progression en eaux-vives.

Optimiser vos compétences en stratégie et anticipation pour la gestion de groupe en canyons aquatiques et de franchissement en gros débit (A4+).

Module 3 (3 jours) : Enseignement 510 €

Être capable d’encadrer un petit groupe d’amis dans un canyon peu difficile dans des conditions de sécurité adaptées. Maitriser les techniques d’échappatoire et d’évacuation afin d’évacuer un groupe en cas d’accident ou de force majeure.

Acquérir toutes les connaissances pédagogiques et les compétences techniques requises pour assister un Instructeur (ICI) lors d’une séance professionnelle d’Initiation au Canyoning (CAI).

Etre capable d’aider l’Instructeur qui est en charge de la session. Etre capable d’aider l’Instructeur à gérer la logistique d’un centre affilié à l’UCA.

We are delighted to present to you an unforgettable underground adventure at famous Georges Chasm, through the Tube entrance!

Pour débuter votre aventure, nous commencerons par une initiation spéléo classique. Cette étape est primordiale pour apprendre les bases de la spéléologie et pour vous familiariser avec l’environnement souterrain. Ensuite, nous progresserons petit à petit vers des techniques de corde plus avancées. Vous apprendrez ainsi à franchir des main-courantes, à descendre des rappels fractionnés, à escalader et désescalader des passages, et même à remonter sur corde, le tout dans des volumes gigantesques.

Notre première étape de descente nous conduira jusqu’à la « salle de la Famine », située à une profondeur impressionnante de -200 mètres. Nous pique-niquerons dans cette grande salle historique pour reprendre des forces ! En fonction du nombre et du niveau des participants, nous pourrons choisir entre différentes options pour la suite de notre exploration, afin de s’adapter au mieux à chacun et rendre cette aventure accessible à tous.

Le gouffre George est célèbre pour ses dimensions hors normes. En effet, il s’agit d’un gouffre immense qui offre une expérience inoubliable à tous les amateurs d’envergure sportive.

En somme, le gouffre George par l’entrée Tube est une aventure souterraine inoubliable, accessible à tous les niveaux. Avec une initiation spéléo classique et un perfectionnement progressif aux techniques de corde, vous serez prêt à explorer cet environnement unique.
