Subra Canyon

This large, sporty and technical canyon is located at the foot of the Ariège “3000” peaks: the “Montcalm” (3077m) and the Pique d’Estat (3143m), at the bottom of the Vicdessos valley. It is a very steep canyon, more vertical and wilder than its neighbour the Artigue. Less aquatic and more technical... but what an atmosphere! Ideal for improving your canyoning and abseiling techniques.

Description

Subra Canyon

The Subra canyon offers a beautiful series of 25 easy waterfalls. Mineral and open in its upper part, the gorge is dug into a beautiful red schist rock. It ends with 2 magnificent very steep and aerial sections (last 8 waterfalls). The most beautiful and highest obstacles are found at the end of the course, including a guided 25m rappel followed by a superb 20m waterfall that descends into a cave behind the curtain of water. It is very little frequented, you will be able to learn canyoning in a team and perfect your autonomy on a rope.

A sporty canyon descent for all those who love thrills, learning technique and autonomy in canyoning.
