To be able to progress, it was necessary to become autonomous. For this, Rodolphe offered training as an <a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/en\/produit\/canyoneur-autonome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">autonomous canyoner<\/a> in June. Here I am embarking on the autonomous adventure.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6810.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1633 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6810.jpg\" alt=\"canyon autonome sp\u00e9l\u00e9o canyon ariege\" width=\"680\" height=\"453\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" class=\"translation-block\">I met my <strong>training<\/strong> colleagues, French. Together we followed the training course, <strong>between theory and technique<\/strong> and we had a good laugh, I must say. One fine day, we left with the equipment towards the <a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/en\/shop\/canyon-de-largensou\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Argensou canyon<\/a> to put into practice what we had learned.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6544-copie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1634 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6544-copie.jpg\" alt=\"canyon autonome cascade corde\" width=\"396\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" class=\"translation-block\">The weather wasn\u2019t really with us, a little fine rain settled on our suits and it wasn\u2019t that warm for a month of June. But we weren\u2019t there to sunbathe, we wanted to become <strong>independent in canyoning<\/strong>. The Argensou canyon is a very easy canyon to <strong>begin<\/strong> canyoning when you are supervised, for us it was a challenge.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6509.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1635 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6509.jpg\" alt=\"cascade equipement autonome canyoneur\" width=\"680\" height=\"453\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" class=\"translation-block\">Everyone had a workshop to equip, we concentrated on knowing how to do it. The first time I found myself <strong>alone in front of the rope<\/strong>, it was something. What should I do again? And if I'm wrong... Concentrate, breathe, find the right solution.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/canyon-dessin-copie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1636 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/canyon-dessin-copie.jpg\" alt=\"canyon dessin autonome corde\" width=\"680\" height=\"544\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" class=\"translation-block\">Finally it worked, I set up a rope for the first time in rappel and I went down on it. <strong>I still had some doubts about the equipment.<\/strong> How could all this hold up? I was treated during a rope cutting exercise. I stayed a good twenty minutes above the void, a teammate had cut the rope following the procedure but something was wrong without putting me in danger. After that, I no longer doubted the <strong>equipment<\/strong> and for twenty minutes at the edge of the waterfall I had time to understand the fear of heights.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6681.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1637 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/speleo-canyon-ariege.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG6681.jpg\" alt=\"olda stos canyon autonome UCA\" width=\"330\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"zxx\" class=\"translation-block\">The training was very interesting, both in terms of canyoning and on a personal level, without forgetting the human side. We had spent a week together with colleagues, it was a good time <strong>for exchange and sharing<\/strong>. After this week we were autonomous in canyoning, we were <strong>certified by Universal Canyoning Academy and Rodolphe Sturm<\/strong>.
